WEEK IN PHOTOS #1

I’ve seen a few of these type of blog posts on several blogs, it’s honestly such a good way of recapping and reflecting on your week so I thought I’d give it a go for my post this week. Last week was an extremely hectic week, it started off okay but quickly turned quite stressful if I’m honest. Lets just say I’m happy to see a fresh new week ahead of me!
Right enough rambling, onto my pictures from the last week:

Starting with Yasmin Mogahed’s Reclaim Your Heart, honestly if you know, YOU KNOW (full review coming to the blog soon, keep them eyes peeled!). This book has really inspired me, it takes a lot for me a book to have an impact on your life, to provide a whole new perspective on your lifestyle, your words and your actions.
Here’s a snippet from the blurb: ‘This book was written to awaken the heart and provide a new perspective on love, loss, happiness and pain. A manual of sorts, Reclaim Your Heart will teach readers how to live in this life without allowing life to own you. It is a manual of how to protect your most prized possession – the heart’. It’s an amazing, inspirational book and any spare time I’ve had over the past week it’s been spent with my nose burrowed into this book.

Me and my mum popped into H&M and while she was searching for new tops I picked up some jewellery! I’ve always loved H&M jewellery mainly for its amazing quality and because there’s a huge range of pieces to chose from! I was looking for some gold thin rings as I’ve managed to lose all mine * rolls eyes * and I picked up some earrings too! I’m forever looking for earrings to wear in my second piercing, I’m always on the hunt for small earrings to compliment my first ear piercing, and these are really cute, I haven’t got any earrings in these colours so it was a nice change to add to my collection!

Now as always my week was spent drinking copious amounts of tea. Nothing can’t be solved by a good cup of tea, oh gosh how old do I sound?! Nevertheless, I found this mug amongst the overflowing cupboard of mugs and I used it for most of the week and it accurately represented me because my room was TIP last week.

I have never EVER gone through a full tub of body cream before, this cream smells amazing and I need to repurchase a new one asap!

I’ve been saying how much I need ot repurchase my heat defence spray because my hair has started to get quite dry on the ends, I finally managed to pick one up and I haven’t been happier to have it back!

I very rarely wear anything heeled, when I say rarely, I mean I only wear heeled shoes on weddings (if I have to), but I saw these and really liked them and thought they’d be good for the summer so I picked them up!

I went to see Dynamo in Manchester Arena on Saturday evening and it was so so so good! Brilliant end to my week ☺

Songs I’ve been loving over the past week:

I thought I’d add this section to my end of my weekly recap to share with you the songs I’ve been loving! The past week has been full of me driving around (mainly to work and tuition) but it meant I spent a lot of time in my car and listening to some good music, my favourites from the past week are:

Banks – Someone New (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_rXfpUVgSk)

Dvsn – Hallucinations (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBYbhZreprc)

Ali Sethi and Nabeel Shaukat – Umran Langiyaan (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REhOKUs_2wM)

As you can see my music taste is very diverse aha, but nevertheless these are the songs I’ve been loving for the past week!

What have you been up to? Leave me a comment and let me know!

With love,

Sophie X
