I’m excited to be heading off to Dubai for 5 nights with my family next week! Long haul flights can be a make-or-break situation by simply packing the right carry on items, here’s what I will be taking on the flight with me:
The Chosen One:
I have a slight (understatement) obsession with rucksacks, the ease of having all your essentials on your back and being able to pull together a whole outfit with a comfy rucksack is VERY important to me.
This rucksack is from Primark (big surprise), and it’s SO cute, it’s a good size which means I won’t struggle with fitting things in it for the flight, the floral pattern makes me so happy and excited for going on holiday and its overall an amazing size bag to fit all my goodies in.
A New Read:
Holiday’s are the best time to start a new read, packing a new book/novel for your flight allows you to completely switch off from everything and indulge in your own little world, my next read is Marissa Meyer’s Cinder (patiently staring at the door for my amazon order to come through).
The plane is my favourite place to have some me-time and jot down some thoughts, so I take my diary with me (yes I’m an 18 year old with a diary, not ashamed, at all) there’s something about jotting down what my day was like, how I’m feeling etc that completely eases all my stress.
Good music:
I always make sure my ipod is fully updated with new songs and playlists that will come in handy not only on the flight but on holiday, at the beach etc. Good music is the ultimate get-away.
Songs I’m loving right now:
Oh Wonder: Drive, Plans, White Blood, Landslide (basically their whole album, CHECK IT OUT).
Ed Sheeran: Lay it all on me
Selena Gomez: Same old love, Perfect, Cologne
Ellie Goulding: On my mind
KAASI: Those days, Work with me
Skincare:
As you saw from my previous blog post (The Liz Earle edition) all about my skin routine, you’ll have seen how important my skincare routine is.
On the plane however, I can’t do a full cleanse of my face, so to keep my skin hydrated and free from breakouts (fingers crossed!), I carry a small travel size Micellar Water and some cotton pads for a quick cleanse.
Camera:
I’ve got into a habit of taking my camera on road trips, or plane journeys, because there is ALWAYS a time (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise) to take pictures or capture memories or as my mum will know, recording videos. Pictures and videos are something that I’ve grown to be in a habit of taking, as I love the idea of looking back on a time/event through good pictures/videos.
