After a weekend of binge watching Essiebutton’s (EsteéLalonde) videos, I was completely inspired by the ’15 of my favourite feelings’ video and thought it would be a good idea for a blog post.
I thought it would be difficult to come up with 15 of my best feelings, but once I got started I reached 15 before I even knew it.
So without further ado, these are my favourite feelings.
- The first tea of the day .
Ah tea, I became a big tea drinker during my A levels and through my gap year my love of tea has grown, I love tea any time of the day, but there is NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING better than your first cup of tea. If you know, you know.
- The rush of adrenaline that fills you when you get off a ride at a theme park/any scary theme-park adventure (eg scarefest at Alton Towers).
Oh my gosh, me and my family are huuuuge theme park lovers, tbh my mum is a huge ride lover and most of our summer memories are at Alton Towers! The feeling when you get off a ride is like no other and equally frightnight mazes give you the exact same thrill, it’s hilarious and has created such good memories for all of us, and I love it!
- Wearing my dressing gown.
Oh the beloved dressing gown, I love lounge-wear, I love joggers and anything comfy especially when I’m at home, nothing quite equates to lounging around in my dressing gown, regardless of how much everyone in the house is sick of it!
(I can never be sick of my dressing gown, its SO soft, seriously, if you’re in need of a dressing gown, you must get an M&S one, you MUST).
- Laughing with my sisters.
Okay, so I’m the youngest of two sisters, and if you have sisters then you know that regardless of how long a time its been since you’ve seen each other, you will find yourself at the end of the day in fits of laughter over any random thing and that feeling is the BEST. (I miss laughing with my sisters on a daily basis, cherish your siblings before they all get married!)
- Cleansing/Taking off my makeup.
I feel like I’ve acquired a good skincare routine that I actually stick to, there is nothing I look forward to more than cleansing at the beginning and end of the day, it’s such a good feeling and I enjoy it so much (Liz Earle cleanse and polish is a CHARM and it works wonders on my skin).
6. Autumn.
My favourite season is Autumn, I love the crisp leaves and wrapping up warm. The colours associated with Autumn are my favourite colours, all the burgundy’s and burnt oranges, it’s such a nice time of year and I love it.
- Eating chips.
Self explanatory, anyone whose eaten chips will understand.
- Being around my mama.
Oh how soppy (!), but really the one thing I am constantly grateful for is my mum, she is honestly my closest friend and I love her to pieces, being around her makes me so happy and she’s hilarious to be around and always brightens up my day!
- Getting off a plane and feeling that initial rush of hot air and knowing your holiday has just begun.
When you set off the plane and the hot air hits you, ah that feeling! It excites me so much, and instantly relaxes me and I’m ready to start my holiday from that point on!
- Buying stationary.
Some girls like shoes (Sarah), some like handbags (Sonya), but others like stationary. Oh my, I have such vivid memories of my mum taking us all to WHSmith on the last week of the summer holidays to get new pencil cases, books, pens and all that kind of stuff. We all used to be SO excited, especially me. That feeling has not drifted away, if anything it’s more prominent than ever, I love picking up new stationary.
My current favourite stationary shop is Muji, Muji is like Aladdin’s cave, there’s so many cool things you can find in there, ooo I love it.
- My colouring book.
This ties in with the last one in that I love getting colouring books and new colouring pencils and the hype of ‘grown-up’ colouring books is REAL to me, I love them and I think they’re such a good way to de-stress. Usually, me and mum colour together while we watch Eastenders in the evenings, and it’s the best.
- Hot showers.
I LOVE hot showers, there is nothing worse than a cold shower. I love having a hot shower, espciailly in the winter time, it’s perfect.
- Being around my best friend.
Since I moved to Manchester, I don’t see my best friend anywhere near enough as when I was in London, and I really miss it, like so so much.
You know when you find a friend that you can be completely yourself around and regardless of how long you’ve gone without seeing each other nothing changes? That’s exactly what we have and I cherish it so much.
- Painting all your nails without chipping/smudging one.
I paint my nails A LOT and that feeling when you smudge your nail in the first 10 seconds of painting them all, is THE most annoying feeling ever, but the satisfaction of not smudging or chipping one feels me with such joy (review on my recent purchase of Soigne nail polishes – soon to come!)
- The moment after you finish a gripping book, where you sit in silence, in awe of the story you’ve just read.
This is SO real and it’s great, I love reaching an end of an amazing gripping book and being full of happiness with how the story has panned out, I felt this the other day as I finished ‘November 9’ and it was perfect, hopefully the review will be up soon!
Aaaaand that’s a wrap, the 15 of my favourite feelings was such a fun blog post to write and I hope I can bring more of these kind of posts to the blog throughout this year!
P.S look at this cool shot I got of my candle, which has now finished and I’m in desperate need of a new one, HELP (any recommendations for candles, much appreciated).
What are some of your favourite feelings?
